Scope and standard

This statement applies to the website of Heinen Rental & Service GmbH at www.datacenter24.de. We strive to make the website accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG). Our benchmark is the European standard EN 301 549 in conjunction with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.

Measures implemented

  • Semantic HTML with a clear heading structure and landmarks,
  • a "skip to content" link at the top of every page,
  • full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator,
  • form fields with programmatically associated labels and clear error messages,
  • alternative text for informative images,
  • sufficient colour contrast in text and controls,
  • a responsive layout that supports zooming to at least 200% without loss of functionality,
  • no auto-playing media and no flashing content,
  • language markup on all pages and a language switcher (German, English, French).

Known limitations

Despite careful implementation, some content is only partially accessible:

  • Interactive 3D models: Individual product pages embed 3D viewers provided by the third party Sketchfab. Their controls are not fully keyboard- and screen-reader-accessible. However, all essential product information is fully available as text and tables on the same page.
  • Schematic product images: Some technical illustrations (e.g. the airflow of the cold aisle containment) are presented visually; their key messages are explained in the surrounding text.
